National skills competitions provides technicians with opportunities to upskill

The national competition-based development programme is designed by industry experts to help young people grow professionally by developing their technical and employability skills.

97% of previous entrants said that they improved their technical skills after taking part, whilst 93% said they improved their personal and employability skills.

The registration period for this year’s competitions is open until 24th March. Those who excel in the national qualifiers will be invited to take part in the national finals in November.

The winners will be crowned the UK’s best in their chosen skill. They will have the opportunity to face their international peers at WorldSkills Lyon 2024.
